"My Red Hot Car" for Squarepusher
I animated this piece in 2001 for a competition ran by Warp Records to promote the release of Squarepusher's "My Red Hot Car" album.
The whole animation was designed in Adobe Illustrator and later sliced and animated frame by frame in Flash. It was the last Flash animation I worked on, since at the time I was already transitioning into After Effects and other broadcast quality software packages. This is still one of my favorite pieces as it help me discover animation in many ways.
As you can see below, this was animated in Flash without any interactive purposes. At that time I hand't yet learned After Effects. It was very interesting to use this tool for broadcast purposes at a time when it was still somewhat new to the industry.
